What’s the holiday du jour? Well, having gotten through the edible hoover fests of Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, and New Years we are once again faced with the frenzy of a February Food Frolic.
Down and out with a nasty case of flu for the past week, it’s time to catch up. Writing deadlines first, and what’s been going on with the local restaurants and chefs second.
A particular aspect of living at the Jersey Shore is the abundance of food markets. Within a twenty mile radius we have our choice of mega-grocery stores, multiple “health” food shops, farmers markets, specialized boutique marts, and some of my favorite haunts—ethnocentric markets.
