It was the wafer-thin speck chips that had us all talking at once. Beautifully executed, we were impressed with this dish.
I would have loved a bowl of the broth separate from the duck to catch every bit in a spoon. Put together, it was a little awkward to eat the slices of meat with the noodles and the broth became lost underneath.
Cafe du Monde is as touristy as it gets and a stones throw from the Mississippi River. Gator on a stick is offered at the French Market. The Old Legends Park was the best place to grab a beignet and a cup of coffee while listening to a jazz quartet.
Soup of the day with corn muffin and bloody mary.
